Margins Associate
Summary:
The Margin Department is responsible for controlling the global daily liquidity of the firm, taking interest rates spread opportunities, as well as for providing information to senior management that will be used to enhance the performance of the firm’s investors.
Responsibilities:
Verify all margin calls and recalls prepared by the team for Repos, Futures, Cash, and Derivative trades
Ensure proper funding of all accounts in order to meet margin calls
Verify, and dispute if necessary, all margin levels across the firm
Arbitrage interest rates spreads among different Broker, Banks, and investment opportunities
Prepare daily reports that will be submitted to upper management
Resolve daily issues across the firm, margin or non-margin related, by interacting with other teams of the firm
Analyze capital allocation on-demand as per upper management request
Assist Legal department in drafting Master ISDA, MRA and PB agreements
Plan monthly liquidity for all funds, based on estimated P&L, risk profile, and possible GMV changes of each fund
React to breaking news and analyze counterparty risk associated with the events
Track the markets in order to foresee possible funding issues, and immediately work towards solving the situation
Candidates will be required to take ownership and accountability over their work product and should have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
Have strong problem solving skills
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Understanding of the mechanics of complex financial instruments
Sound professional judgment
Attention to detail, thorough and organized - a must
Trustworthy with sensitive information
Comfortable giving constructive feedback to Management
Knowledge of all products that are currently traded in the marketplace
High proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite
Education: Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business or related discipline
Location: Stamford, CT
Compensation: $90,000
